Theresa was on a tour in the IATP Demonstration Center when she came into the IATP Makerspace. She told the Makers team she was having a tough time using her eye drop squeezer. She is blind and it is difficult for her to get the eye drops aligned with her eyes.
The Maker team created a design that would be simple for the user to apply eye drops by themselves while securing hold of the dropper itself. The design wraps around the eye dropper bottle with extended handles for easy application. This adaptation allows Theresa to put in eyedrops by herself. It can also be useful for persons who struggle with hand dexterity.
