The IATP Makers program was contacted by an individual who used both a rollator walker and a Caption Companion device in their day-to-day life. The individual who requested the device needed a way to use both devices at the same time, but the modifications made to the rollator had to allow the rollator to still collapse. The Makers team got to work on designing a device that would meet the critieria of the individual. The team designed and 3D-printed a mount for the individual’s walker that securely held the Caption Companion. Once the mount was completed, the individual returned to IATP and a member of the Makers team installed it which was then successfully tested by the user.
