Microwave door opener

The IATP Makers were contacted by a therapist about creating a device that could help their client open the door on their microwave. The Makers team found and trialed an existing product file. The original device was designed to compensate for a client’s lack of functional finger movement. Most microwave door opener buttons push in about an inch, so the device slider mechanism was designed to this dimension making it easy to open the door.
