The Education Center for the Visually Impaired (ECVI) contacted the Makers program for a modification to the Braille bingo boards that Makers previously developed for them. They requested tactile raised lettering with high contrast colors so that users who don’t know braille would still be able to see and feel the boards. There was a discussion about having magnets where the numbers are so they could be interchangeable. For this specific group they decided that the best option was to keep the design stationary so that users would not have to worry about changing out the tiles each game. The end result was a success for this group as it provided options for everyone to be able to participate resulting in a very satisfied class.
