Switch mounted on a gooseneck stand

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) from a local school district contacted the Makers Team about adapting gooseneck tubing to fit a switch mount and reinforcing the gooseneck tubing. The original gooseneck tubing they were using was not strong enough to hold the switch for her students. She was wanting to give her students access to their switch button in various positions during their day when using a tray isn’t an option. After a brief back and forth with the SLP, the Makers Team were able to come up with a design that would allow for a switch to be mounted and removed from a piece of gooseneck tubing. In addition to designing and fabricating the switch mount, the Makers team were able to recommend steps to be taken in order to reinforce the gooseneck tubing so that it could support the weight of heavier switches.
