Meat shredder in kitchen

One of the meal prep tools used in the Tech Kitchen Program is a commercially available meat shredder. This device assists those who can hold and turn two handles on the top lid to easily shred meat. A Tech Kitchen staff member and customer requested an adaptation to the meat shredder so that it could be accessible to one-handed users. The Makers program fabricated a 3D-printed adaptation to the meat shredder which consists of one ergonomically horizontal bar that replaces both the two manufactured handles. When users with one-handed ability position their grasp in the middle of the handlebar for turning, they can operate the device with ease.
