IATP’s Makers program was contacted by an individual about the fabrication of a tactile cribbage board. The individual enjoyed playing cribbage with their partner, but due to vision loss they were no longer able to play with a commercially available board. The Makers team got to work on fabricating a board for them. The board that was fabricated was larger than a standard cribbage board and featured larger game pieces to aid in placement. After being laser cut out of wood, the board was painted with 3 distinct colors that the individual could differentiate between the best.
